Project Development Manager

We are working with a dynamic international specialist thriving across the entire value chain of utility scale photovoltaic (PV) power plants offering a variety of specialised services in the field of solar power. With their widespread success and progress in the last 6 months, specifically within the European region, they are now looking for an experienced project developer to build up their French development team and contribute to their project pipeline, and to be located and established in multiple regions in France.

Our client engages in all stages of the project cycle, from development, operations, financing and installation and already have a substantial market presence in Europe.
The opportunity they are currently looking to fill will require a creative, hands-on, motivated professional that is confident to act as their regional representative, where they will be working in an extremely independent position and where their efforts and strategic decisions will have an immediate impact on the growth of the business and its reputation within Europe.

– Leading and carrying out all project development activities from site prospection and land acquisition, obtaining permits and negotiating land contracts and lease agreements, leading the management of opportunities and tenders, overseeing all development teams and activities to ensure a successful overall development process
– Create, build and lead a team of developers and contributors to carry out development operations that directly represent the company in your region
– Personally manage and a build a project pipeline of projects with your areas of expertise
– Develop a project pipeline in your region, leveraging on your market strategy and project vision
– Participate and attend regional/ national conferences to gain an insight into market intelligence, new markets, project strategies and innovation for future project ventures
– Represent the company at the scale of your region

– Minimum of BSc Degree in Engineering, Commerce or Urban planning

– At least 2 years experience in developing Solar PV, renewable energy or urban planning projects
– Knowledge of advantageous geoprocessing tools (ArcGis or QGis)
– Very good practice of MS Office tools
– Willingness and ability to travel
– Interpersonal skills, communication skills and ability to lead and work with a team
– French mother tongue; good written and oral level in German or English
