How we work

We offer a comprehensive service based on Four key skills and believe that it is these Four that have allowed each of our consultants to outperform their competitors at every stage of their career. These Four key attributes are; market knowledge, the depth of our network, relationship management and the ability to offer a wholly consultative approach to both our candidates and clients. By doing this we have been able to provide our clients with highly sought after talent within very niche specialisms whilst at the same time ensuring that employee turnover is reduced.

Octavius provides a comprehensive search and selection model that is flexible to the needs and requirements of our clients. Our 3 main search models are as follows;

A retained search will require an upfront investment, which is mutually agreed by Octavius and the client to secure our services on an exclusive basis. The relevant consultant will then prioritise this search and further investment will be made in more specialised resources to ensure that we bring you the best top level talent. The remainder of the fee will then be paid on submission of a shortlist and acceptance of a candidate.

With this model, Octavius will be secured as the sole agency working with the client. For this commitment from our clients, we will assign additional time for the assignment and a regular client report so that progress can be tracked. Payment is due on successful placement only.

We will utilise our already vast network and talent pool within the sector for the recruitment process which provides our client with an instant contact with highly qualified professionals, many of whom work exclusively with the Octavius Group. Payment for this method is only due on successful placement of a candidate.

We will work with our clients and candidates to set time frames ad throughout the process on various aspects of their search to ensure that there are no unexpected surprises and so that the process runs very smoothly. We have found that the best way to achieve this is by having regular, transparent communication which has led to a superior quality of service and has allowed us to build long lasting relationships that are built on trust rather than desperation and reliance.
